Our Business Groups | Credit Risk Products

Launched in 2006 in partnership with Natixis Capital Markets Inc.(formerly IXIS Capital Markets North America Inc.), Centerline Financial LLC (“Centerline Financial”) operates as part of our Credit Risk Products Group. Centerline Financial focuses on providing credit intermediation, primarily in the form of credit default swaps ("CDS") to the affordable multifamily housing industry. Our Credit Risk Products Group concentrates on offering CDS to resecuritize the affordable housing bonds in Centerline's own portfolio, enabling us to retain a significant portion of the fees we would otherwise have paid to third party credit providers.

Centerline Financial has a “AAA” counterparty rating as a credit derivative products company from Standard & Poor’s. The counterparty rating also allows Centerline Financial to provide CDS to third parties directly.

Centerline is expanding the capabilities of its Credit Risk Products Group and continuing to develop innovative multifamily credit solutions.
